1. Origin These ducts arise from the rete testis within the testis. This duct arises from the tail (cauda) of the epididymis.
2. Structure They are a collection of fine, ciliated ductules. It is a single, thick, and partially coiled muscular tube.
3. Function They transport spermatozoa from the testis into the epididymis. It conducts spermatozoa from the epididymis to the ejaculatory duct.
4. Number There are usually 12 to 20 ductules present in each testis. There is only one single tube for each testis.
