3. It signifies the beginning of the reproductive phase and the ability to conceive. It signifies the end of the reproductive phase, as ovulation and menstruation stop permanently.
4. This process is triggered by the initial rise in female sex hormones like estrogen. This process is caused by the gradual decline and eventual stop of female sex hormone production.
