उत्तर

There are various reasons for the rising need for efficient communication:

  1. Increases managerial efficiency: Managers provide guidance to employees through communication. Effective communication will make employees feel more secure and more interested in their work.
  2. Decision-making: The quality of any decision depends upon the quality of information available to the decision-maker. Effective communication is designed to implement decisions very quickly.
  3. Motivation for employees: Communication seeks to make employees interested in their duties and in the company as a whole. It encourages the employees to accept new ideas for the completion of the work systematically. So, good communication can mould employees’ behaviour and create cordial relationships.
  4. To create team-work: Communication is designed to create mutual understanding and cooperation among people working or living together. It satisfies employees’ personal and social needs and stimulates their job interests.
  5. Human relations: Participation of employees in the decision-making process and other means of communication helps to develop among employees a sense of belonging and loyalty to the organisation. This can be created through an exchange of ideas, opinions, information, suggestions, etc.
  6. Public relations: Effective communication helps the management in maintaining good relations with customers, suppliers, shareholders, government, etc. This will improve the business image in society and big enterprises employ professional experts for this purpose.
