उत्तर
- Fast: Compared to other communication modalities, oral communication is quicker. The message does not need to be written. Oral communication therefore saves time.
- Economical: Oral communication is cheaper because no stationery is required.
- Personal Touch: A personal touch between the speaker and the listener is facilitated by oral communication. Writing cannot match the spontaneity and intimacy of speech.
- Better Understanding: Real meaning can be communicated by the speaker through changes in tone, pitch, gestures, and facial expressions. Written communication cannot do this. The speaker and the listener can develop cordial relationships through oral communication.
- More Effective: Speech is a more effective tool for control and persuasion. Any questions can be answered immediately to the satisfaction of both sides. Interpretation and understanding issues can be resolved immediately.
- Flexibility: Depending on the impression he wants to leave on the listener, the speaker can modify his message and tone. He has the right to change or remove his remarks. Oral communication is therefore better suited to resolving a crisis situation including interpersonal conflict.
- Immediate Feedback: The speaker can easily gauge the import of his message. He can then take steps to gain acceptance of his views.
- Group Communication: In meetings, conferences, and other settings, oral communication is very helpful for group communication.
- Secrecy: Since there is typically no record of conversation, oral messages are simpler to keep confidential.
