Child abuse or child maltreatment is physical, sexual, and/or psychological maltreatment or neglect of a child or children, especially by a parent or a caregiver.

The sex ratio is the ratio of males to females in a population. In most sexually reproducing species, the ratio tends to be 1:1.
According to the United Nations, the sex ratio is defined as the number of males per 100 females.

A population explosion means very rapid growth of the population, much faster than economic growth. In India, this has mostly happened because of a high birth rate and a much lower death rate in recent times.

• Education and training increase a person’s skills, productivity, and income.
• Educated individuals contribute more to a nation’s economic growth.
• Education also provides social status, better choices, innovation, and adaptability to change.
• Human capital means the productive power of people developed through education, training, and health.
• Like physical capital, a country must invest in people to build more skilled professionals.
• Investment in human capital leads to economic development and overall human progress.
