- Nylon 6, 6 is obtained by a polymerisation reaction between the monomers adipic acid and hexamethylenediamine.
- Mixing of the two monomers forms nylon salt, which, upon condensation polymerization under conditions of high temperature and pressure, gives the polyamide fibre nylon 6, 6.
