Applications of DNA fingerprinting:
- In forensic science, DNA fingerprinting is used to solve problems of rape and some complicated murder cases.
- DNA fingerprinting is used to find out the biological father or mother or both, of the child, in case of disputed parentage.
- DNA fingerprinting is used in the pedigree analysis in cats, dogs, horses, and humans.
- It is used to understand an organism’s evolutionary history and the relationships between different groupings.
