Environment Day Celebration at SMJS High School

Mumbai, 10th June, 2025.
SMJS High School celebrated Environment Day yesterday with great enthusiasm. The day started off with an assembly, followed by the Principal’s speech on the importance of saving the environment. This was followed by a skit prepared by the school's Environment Club on the effects of global warming and measures to stop it.
A host of activities were organised by the students. Students from the 9th and 10th standards took the initiative to raise awareness of environmental threats and how each of us can help protect the environment. They even made a questionnaire to test how aware people were of the problem and whether they knew about the measures they could take to improve the situation. A plantation drive was also carried out by the teachers and students, during which they planted trees on the school premises.
The day concluded with everyone taking a pledge to be more eco-friendly. The Principal commented, “It was the great effort taken by the students and teachers that made the event such a huge success.”
