In these times, the role of a citizen is not just to live within a community but to contribute to its fabric. The ideal citizen understands the importance of upholding the laws, paying taxes, and respecting the rights of others. Moreover, they are informed and participate actively in the governance of their country through voting and civic engagement.
An ideal citizen also recognizes the power of education and strives for the continual improvement of self and society. They are compassionate, lending a hand to those in need and standing for justice. They understand that their actions-big or small-contribute to the greater good.
As for remedies, it begins with each of us taking responsibility for our actions and educating the next generation to do better. We must engage in open dialogue, volunteer within our communities, and lead by example.
