उत्तर
Fruits cannot stay fresh for a long time in their natural and tasty form. Micro-organisms and fungi can grow on them and spoil them. To preserve fruits, we add food preservatives like sugar. Sugar helps in making jams, which can be stored and eaten even after the fruit’s season is over. That is why we make jams from fruits, to enjoy their taste for a longer time.
