 Goodwill is the value of a firm’s reputation and its good brand name in the market. It is an intangible asset that plays a crucial role for any firm to survive and compete in the market. In other words, goodwill is a result of past efforts made by the firm that helps them in earning higher profits in the present and in future as well.
