Following measures are needed to be taken to improve the reproductive health standards in India

  1. Providing infrastructural facilities and professional expertise to attain reproductive health.
  2. Educating people about birth control method, care of pregnant mothers, importance of breast feeding. safe and hygienic sexual practices and safeguard against STDs.
  3. Introducing of sex education in schools to give proper information to the young minds about sex-related aspect.
  4. Help of audio-visual and print media to create awareness among people about reproduction-related aspects.
  5. Awareness of problems due to populaton explosin, soicial evils like sex-abuse and sex-related crimes.
  6. Statutory ban on amniocentesis to legally check female foeticides.
