  1. The massive child immunisation programme has led to a decrease in the infant mortality rate.
  2. Maternal and infant mortality rates have decreased drastically due to better post-natal care.
  3. Family planning has motivated people to have smaller families.
  4. The use of contraceptives has resulted in a decrease in the rate of sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies.
  5. The delivery was safe and included medical assistance.
  6. The government and the general public are making efforts to control the increasing population.
