For example, if a supervisor guides his subordinates and clears their doubts about performing a task, the worker will be able to meet the work targets assigned to him.

Directing integrates employees efforts in the organisation: Directing integrates employees’ efforts in the organisation in such a way that each individual effort contributes to the overall performance of the organisation. As a result, it ensures that individuals work toward organisational goals. A manager with strong leadership skills, for example, will be able to persuade his subordinates that individual and team efforts will result in the achievement of organisational goals.
