Given, dimensions of a rectangular field 32 m × 26 m.
And area increased = 650 m2
∴ Increased area of wheat field = Area of EFGH – Area of ABCD wheat field
⇒ 650 = EF × EH – AB × AD ...[∵ Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth]
⇒ 650 = EF × 26 – 32 × 26
⇒ 650 = 26EF – 832
⇒ 1482 = 26EF
⇒ EF = 57 m
Hence, the length of the expanded wheat field is 57 m.
