The motivational process is based on human needs. Unsatisfied needs produce tension, which fuels an individual's motivation. These motivations create a search behaviour to meet a demand. If a need is met, the individual is relieved of tension.
For example, Mohan is extremely hungry because he did not eat breakfast this morning. By noon, he felt restless and began wandering down the road in search of a restaurant. After walking for one kilometre, he discovered a dhaba. He ate roti and dal using the money in his pocket. After eating, he was satisfied.
