उत्तर
Principal Focus:-
The convex lens converge the rays incident on it after refraction, to a point on the principal axis. This point is known as principal focus of the convex lens. The rays incident on concave lens appear to diverge from a point on the principal axis. This point is known as the principal focus of concave lens.

A concave mirror always forms a real image.
What happens when a ray of light falls normally (or perpendiculary) on the surface of a plane mirror?
What do you understand by the focus and focal length of a spherical mirror? Show them on the separate diagrams for each of a concave mirror and a convex mirror.
Draw suitable diagrams to illustrate the action of (i) concave mirror and (ii) convex mirror on a beam of light incident parallel to the principal axis.
For what position of object, the image formed by a concave mirror is magnified and erect?
What type of mirror can be used to obtain a real image of an object?
AB is the object, A1B1 is its image. MM' is the position of the mirror. Complete the ray diagram and find the position of the center of curvature and focus of the mirror. Also, measure the focal length.

In the following figure shows a concave mirror with its pole (P), focus (F) and centre of curvature (C). Draw a ray diagram to show the formation of the image of an object AB by the concave mirror.

What is the focal length (f) of a mirror?
