उत्तर

Antheridium is the name for the male sexual organ found in cryptogams, which include algae, fungus, bryophytes, and pteridophytes. The male gametes, or antherozoids, are produced by it. It could be made up of just one cell, or it could have a wall that encloses the growing gametes in a sterile jacket comprised of one or more layers.
