Where there is a will, there is a way

The proverb means that once we put all our efforts into achieving something, we will find a way to achieve it despite all difficulties.

I was eleven years old and wanted to go on a trekking trip. I would take my backpack and try to climb the mountain near my house. Since it was summer, I had a lot of time to practice before going on the actual trip. But I faced the same problem again and again. No matter how hard I tried, I could never manage to get to the top of the mountain. The weight of the backpack and my low stamina were the two problems that were in my way. I couldn’t reduce the weight of the backpack as it had everything that I needed for the trek. So, I decided to increase my stamina and get to the top of the mountain before the end of summer. I started eating healthy food and even started a strict routine for exercise. I also meditated in the morning that helped me build the strength I needed to climb. A few weeks after I started following this schedule, I could feel that I wasn’t getting tired like before. I could climb most of the mountain without making a lot of stops or running out of breath. And one day, I finally made it to the top of the mountain! The view was beautiful from up there. Later, I went for my trekking trip and was one of the first few people to finish the trek. That day, I realized that if I have the will to do something, then I’ll be able to do it, no matter what. This proves that with willpower, anything is possible. If we set our mind to something and stay focused on it, we can achieve it.
