Area of cross-section of the solid = `1/2( 1.5 + 3 ) xx ( 40 )`m2

= `1/2`( 4.5 ) × ( 40 ) m2

= 90 m2

Volume of solid = Area of cross section × Length

= 90 × 15 m3

= 1350 m3

= 1350000 liters     ....( Since 1m3 = 1000L )
