उत्तर

Given :
Length of ladder = 6.5 m
Length of the foot of the wall = 2.5 m

To find: Height AC According to Pythagoras Theorem,
(BC)2 = (AB)2 + (AC)2

(6.5)2 = (2.5)2 + (AC)2
42.25 = 6.25 + AC2
AC2 = 42.25 – 6.25 = 36 m
AC = `sqrt(6xx6)` = 6 m
∴ Height of wall = 6 m

In a right triangle ABC right-angled at C, P and Q are the points on the sides CA and CB respectively, which divide these sides in the ratio 2 : 1. Prove that

`(i) 9 AQ^2 = 9 AC^2 + 4 BC^2`

`(ii) 9 BP^2 = 9 BC^2 + 4 AC^2`

From given figure, In ∆ABC, If AC = 12 cm. then AB =?

Activity: From given figure, In ∆ABC, ∠ABC = 90°, ∠ACB = 30°

∴ ∠BAC = `square`

∴ ∆ABC is 30° – 60° – 90° triangle

∴ In ∆ABC by property of 30° – 60° – 90° triangle.

∴ AB = `1/2` AC and `square` = `sqrt(3)/2` AC

∴ `square` = `1/2 xx 12` and BC = `sqrt(3)/2 xx 12`

∴ `square` = 6 and BC = `6sqrt(3)`
