कैसोवैरी चिड़िया जंगल में एक पेड़ के कोटर में रहती थी। वह बचपन से ही बाकी चिड़ियों से अलग थी इसलिए बाकी चिड़ियों के बच्चे उसे हमेशा चिढ़ाते थे। कोई कहता, “जब तू उड़ नहीं सकती तो चिड़िया किस काम कीं?", तो कोई उसे पेड़ की डाल पर बैठकर चिढ़ाता, “अरे! कभी हमारे पास भी आ जाया करो। जब देखो जानवरों की तरह नीचे चरती रहती हो", और ऐसा बोलकर सब-के-सब खूब हँसते। कैसोवैरी उनकी बातें सुनकर मन मसोसकर रह जाती पर किसी से कुछ कह नहीं पाती थी। शुरू-शुरू में वह इन बातों का बुरा नहीं मानती थी लेकिन किसी भी चीज की एक सीमा होती है। बार-बार चिढ़ाए जाने से उसका दिल टूट गया। वह उदास बैठ गयी और आसमान की तरफ देखते हुए बोली, “हे ईश्वर तुमने मुझे चिड़िया क्यों बनाया? और बनाया तो मुझे उड़ने की काबिलियत क्यों नहीं दी? देखो सब मुझे कितना चिढ़ाते हैं। अब मैं यहाँ एक पल भी नहीं रह सकती, मैं इस जंगल को हमेशा-हमेशा के लिए छोड़ कर जा रही हूँ।” ऐसा कहते हुए कैसोवैरी चिड़िया थोड़ा आगे बढ़ गई। अभी वह कुछ ही दूर गई थी कि पीछे से एक भारी-भरकम आवाज़ आई-“रुको कैसोवैरी! तुम कहाँ जा रही हो?” आजतक किसी ने भी कैसोवैरी के साथ इतने अच्छे से बात नहीं की थी। उसने आश्चर्य से पीछे गुड़ कर देखा, वहाँ खड़ा जामुन का पेड़ उससे कुछ कह रहा था। “कृपया तुम यहाँ से मत जाओ, हमें तुम्हारी जरूरत है। पूरे जंगल में हम सबसे अधिक तुम्हारी वजह से ही फल-फूल पाते हैं। वह तुम ही हो जो अपनी मजबूत चोंव से फलों को अन्दर तक खाती हो और हमारे बीजों को पूरे जंगल में बिखेरती हो। हो सकता है बाकी चिड़ियों के लिए तुम मायने ना रखती हो लेकिन हम पेड़ों के लिए तुमसे बढ़कर कोई दूसरी चिड़िया नहीं है। मत जाओ, तुम्हारी जगह कोई और नहीं ले सकता।” पेड़ की बातों ने कैसोवैरी के दिल को छुआ। उसकी बातें सुनकर आज पहली बार उसे जीवन में यह एहसास हुआ कि वह इस धरती पर बेकार में मौजूद नहीं है। भगवान ने उसे एक बेहद जरूरी काम के लिए भेजा है और सिर्फ बाकी चिड़ियों की तरह न उड़ पाना कहीं से उसे छोटा नहीं बनाता। आज कैसोवैरी चिड़िया बहुत खुश थी। वह खुशी-खुशी जंगल में लौट गई। कैसोवैरी चिड़िया की तरह ही कई बार हम इंसान भी औरों को देखकर खुद में लघुता का अनुभव करते हैं। हम अपने पास की चीजों को महत्ता न देकर, ये सोचते हैं कि विधाता ने हमें वे चीजें क्यों नहीं दीं, जो दूसरों के पास हैं। ऐसी स्थिति में हम खुद को दीन-हीन और दूसरों को सौभाग्यशाली मानकर विधाता को कोसने लगते हैं। हमें कभी भी बेकार की तुलना में नहीं पड़ना चाहिए। हर एक इंसान अपने आप में अनोखा है और अलग है। हर किसी के अन्दर कोई-न-कोई बात है जो उसे खास बनाती है। हो सकता है कि वह दूसरों के लिए बस एक इंसान हो लेकिन किसी एक के लिए वह पुरी दुनिया हो सकता है। जीवन की महत्ता को समझकर, उसे सकारात्मक सोच का उपहार देकर हम अपने इस अमूल्य जीवन को और बेहतर बना सकते हैं। |
