- Biotechnology is used in the field of agriculture in order to improve crop variety and yields by techniques such as genetic modification, hybridization, etc.
- Techniques such as artificial insemination and embryo transfer are useful in animal husbandry to improve the quality and/or quantity of animal products like milk, wool, meat, etc.
