- Lion, who was king of the forest, was big, strong and fierce. His orders were always fulfilled by his courtiers. He always gave them remains of the food, eaten by him. So, they always had enough of it. But he wasn't as energetic as a king has to be. He got tired after walking on a desert.
- Fox, who was an adviser brought the camel. Thus he was clever and used his wisdom.
- Leopard, who was a bodyguard, didn't try to save his king. He wanted to run away from the mid way.
- Vulture, a messenger was greedy as he thought of his master only.
- Camel, who was unaware of their plotting, was ready to give up his life for the sake of king's hunger. He was truly an honest courtier.
