Explanation:

The function f is continuous at x = 0 if `lim_(x -> 0) f(x) = f(0)`

We have f(0) = k and

`lim_(x -> 0) f(x)` = `lim_(x -> 0) (1 - cos)/(8x^2)`

= `lim_(x -> 0) (2sin^2 2x)/(8x^2)`

= `lim_(x -> 0) (sin^2 2x)/(4x^2)`

= `lim_(x -> 0) ((sin2x)/(2x))^2` = 1
