In the following reaction, `4"NH"_3("g") + "SO"_2 -> 4"NO"("g") + 6"H"_2"O"("g")`
Hydrogen is getting displaced from NH3 by O2 to form NO hence, this is an example of a displacement reaction. At the same time, the addition of oxygen to a compound is called oxidation So, NH3 is getting oxidised to NO. Addition of hydrogen to a compound is called reduction so, O2 is reduced to H2O. Since both, the process of oxidation and reduction are happening at the same time this reaction is also an example of a redox reaction.
