Today I would like to speak about how colours and paints can make our lives colourful not only by brightening the things around us, but also by lifting our spirits and helping us express ourselves.

Colours are everywhere in nature. The green leaves, bright flowers, blue sky and golden sunlight make the world beautiful. Imagine a garden without colour: it would feel very different from one filled with red roses, yellow marigolds and purple violets. Nature’s colours can make us feel calm, cheerful and full of wonder.

Paints also give us a wonderful way to share our ideas. An artist can use a painting to show a peaceful countryside, a busy city or a special memory. Even if we are not professional artists, we can enjoy painting with watercolours, crayons or coloured pencils. A simple drawing can become exciting when we choose colours that show how we feel.

Colours are useful in everyday life, too. Traffic lights use red, yellow and green to guide people safely. We use different colours to decorate our homes, celebrate festivals and make greeting cards for friends and family. For example, colourful lights and decorations make a celebration feel joyful, while soft colours in a room can make it feel peaceful.

However, we should use paints responsibly. We can choose safe, eco-friendly paints and avoid wasting them. We should also keep paint away from our mouths and wash our hands after using it.
