प्रश्न
Solve the following equation by factorization
x (2x + 1) = 6
Advertisements
उत्तर
x (2x + 1) = 6
2x2 + x - 6 = 0
2x2 + 4x - 3x - 6 = 0
⇒ 2x (x + 2) - 3 (x + 2) = 0
⇒ (x + 2) (2x - 3) = 0
Either x + 2 = 0,
then x = -2
or
2x - 3 = 0,
then 2x = 3
⇒ x = `(3)/(2)`
Hence x = `-2, (3)/(2)`.
