उत्तर

The following are the main issues facing global road transportation in mountainous and sweltering desert areas:

  1. It is challenging to build and maintain roads in areas with very rough terrain.
  2. Due to labour, technology, machinery, and material transportation, construction is actually very expensive.
  3. These roads are easily destroyed by natural disasters/calamities like landslides, windstorms, earthquakes, etc.
  4. Due to the availability and mobility of resources, the construction of roads takes longer in hilly/desert areas than in plain, flat lands.
  5. The weather in mountainous and arid regions makes it difficult to build and finish projects because work stops during periods of heavy snowfall, sandstorms, etc.
