उत्तर

It is given that `x = (-1)/2` is a solution of the quadratic equation 3x2 + 2kx – 3 = 0

∴ `3 xx ((-1)/2)^2 + 2k xx ((-1)/2) - 3 = 0`

⇒ `3/4 - k - 3 = 0`

⇒ `k = (3 - 12)/4`

 ⇒ `k = (-9)/4`

Hence, the value of k is `(-9)/4`.
