उत्तर

Fundamental frequency of vibration, n = `1/(2l) sqrt("T"/"m")`

Frequency of third harmonic, n1 = `3/(2l) sqrt("T"/"m")`

∴ `"n"/"n"_1 = (1/(2l)sqrt("T"/"m"))/(3/(2l) sqrt("T"/"m")) = 1/3`

∴ `"n"/"n"_1 = 1/3`
