Clearly, the length of the rectangular field including the path = 30 m.
Breadth = 27 m.
Its Area = 30 x 27 = 810 m2
Width of the path = 2.5 m
Length of the rectangular field including the path = 30 – 2.5 – 2.5 = 25 m.
Breadth = 27 – 2.5 – 2.5 = 22m
Area of the rectangular field including the path = 25 x 22 = 550 m2
Hence, area of the path = 810 – 550 = 260 m2.
