Introduction of Food security:
Everyone needs food to live and stay healthy. Food security means making sure that everyone has enough food to eat, according to their needs. Many countries have made special laws to make sure that every person gets enough food.
India’s Food Security Law (2013):
In 2013, India made its own Food Security Law. This law ensures that everyone in the country, especially the poor, gets enough food to eat.

Importance of Food Security:
- It helps fight problems like malnutrition (not getting enough nutrients from food).
- It helps prevent starvation (not having enough food to eat).
- It helps stop deaths caused by hunger.
