The expedite system is introduced to prevent a game from continuing for too long.

1. It comes into operation after 10 minutes of play, or earlier if both players or pairs request it. It is not introduced if at least 18 points have been scored in the game.
2. Once introduced, each player serves for one point in turn until the end of the game. The order of serving and receiving is not otherwise changed.
3. If the receiver makes 13 good returns in a rally, the receiver wins the point.
4. The system remains in operation until the end of the match. If it becomes due during a rally, play is interrupted and resumes according to the service rules for that situation.
