उत्तर

An injunctive social norm refers to the rules or expectations that define what behaviors people approve or disapprove of in a given society or group. These norms tell us what ought to be done. They signal socially accepted or morally endorsed behaviors by conveying approval for following the norm and disapproval for violating it.

For example, recycling waste is often encouraged through injunctive norms because society views it as the right thing to do. These norms motivate people to act in ways that gain social approval and avoid social sanctions. They are powerful tools for shaping behavior because they appeal to shared values and a sense of obligation.
