उत्तर
The principles of Buddhism imported a deep effect on social life by introducing ‘ Ahimsa’, equality of mankind, etc. which gave impetus to the weaker sections of society to fight for their rights and survival. The socio-religious reform movements were the plus points and the solid political ground and patronage were provided by the great rulers like Ashoka and Chandragupta. On account of some ideal elements, Buddhism spread to large regions, upto S.E. Asia, China, and Japan.
