उत्तर
- U.S. Secretary of State George C. Marshall launched the massive economic aid program known as the Marshall Plan in 1947.
- Its goal was to help Western European countries rebuild their businesses after World War II.
- It was meant to help the economy get better, keep things stable in politics, and stop the spread of communism by making democratic governments stronger.
- The Soviet Union saw it as an American plan to gain power in Europe, so they turned it down, which also stopped other Eastern Bloc countries from joining.
- This made the gap between East and West even bigger, which made the Cold War even worse.
