उत्तर
If a stationary bus suddenly speeds up, passengers are thrown in the backward direction. This is because initially, the whole body of a passenger inside the bus was in the state of rest. But, when the bus suddenly starts or speeds up, the lower half of the passenger's body comes into motion in the forward direction, but the upper half still remains at rest due to the inertia of rest. Hence, the passengers are thrown backwards when a stationary bus suddenly speeds up.

There are two types of forces X and Y. The forces belonging to type X can produce motion in a stationary object but cannot change the shape of the object. On the other hand, forces belonging to type Y cannot produce motion in a stationary object but can change the object. What is the general name of the forces as (a) X, and (b) Y?
