2.	The movement depends on the direction of the stimulus.	The movement does not depend on the direction of the stimulus.
3.	It is generally a slow growth movement.	It is generally a rapid movement caused by changes in cell turgor.
3.	Example: Tendrils of pea coil around a supporting structure when they come in contact with it.	Example: The leaves of Mimosa pudica fold and droop when touched.
