In excess of alkali, white precipitate of Pb(OH)2 becomes soluble :
\[\ce{Pb(OH)2 + 2NaOH(excess) ->\underset{\text{Sodium Plumbate (colourless)}}{Na2PbO2 + 2H2O}}\]
