  1. Zero-level channel: A zero-level channel is the most direct, quickest, cost-effective, and simplest channel in which producers sell their products/services straight to customers without the use of middlemen (wholesalers and retailers). Producers have complete distribution control and can offer their products through door-to-door sales, direct mail, or their own retail showrooms (both physical and online).
  2. One-level channel: This distribution channel has only one middleman, the retailer. A producer sells their products/services to huge merchants, who then sell them to end users. This channel decreases the cost of selling goods to end users and is ideal for delivering consumer durables and high-value items.
  3. Two-level channel: This distribution channel includes two intermediaries: a wholesaler and a retailer. This is the most common distribution channel, in which a wholesaler purchases goods from a producer and resells them to retailers. Retailers offer the goods (and possibly additional items) to end users.
  4. Three-level channel: The three-level channel consists of three intermediary agents: the wholesaler and the retailer. A producer who prefers to pass on the distribution cost offers his products through sales representatives. These agents distribute the product to a few wholesalers, who then distribute it to many retailers, ultimately reaching a large number of end users. This channel is ideal for the larger distribution of industrial and agricultural products.
