From this survey, I found that most consumers were aware of basic rights such as the Right to Safety, Right to Information, Right to Choose and Right to Seek Redressal. However, a few consumers were not fully aware of their responsibilities.

The consumers who were aware of their responsibilities said that they usually check the price, quality, expiry date, MRP and product details, ask for a bill, read instructions carefully and complain when necessary.

The survey shows that consumer awareness is increasing, but there is still a need to educate people about both consumer rights and consumer responsibilities so that they can protect themselves from unfair trade practices.
