उत्तर

Three consecutive numbers whose sum is 12 are 3, 4 and 5.

Explanation:

Let us take three consecutive numbers to be x, (x + 1), (x + 2)

x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 12

⇒ 3x + 3 = 12

⇒ 3x = 12 – 3 = 9

⇒ `x = 9/3 = 3`

Therefore, the three numbers are 3, 4, 5.
