We have, (x – y) + z = `((-4)/9 - 5/12) + 7/18`
= `(-4 xx 4 - 5 xx 3)/36 + 7/18` ...[∵ LCM of 9 and 12 = 36]
= `(-16 - 15)/36 + 7/18`
= `((-31)/36 + 7/18)`
= `(-31 + 7 xx 2)/36`
= `(-31 + 14)/36`
= `(-17)/36`
