Unless you must know about it, don’t ask now.” Her eyes opened wide in terror. She clasped her hands together and implored, “Tell me the truth.” The doctor replied, “I would rather not talk to you now.” He turned around and went back to his chair. terrible wailing shot through the still house; the patient stirred and looked about in bewilderment. उत्तर
A.1)
(i) The patient stirred and looked about in cheerful anticipation. - False
(ii) The patient’s wife wanted to know the truth. - True
A.2)
(i) Her eyes opened wide in terror because the doctor was hesitant in disclosing the nature of her husband’s illness.
(ii) The lady went away to the kitchen because she was restless and wanted to know the truth.
A.3)
According to me, a doctor should be honest and upright to his duty. He plays an important role in the health condition of a person, so the doctor should always diagnose the patient with utmost care. But, nowadays the profession of a doctor seems to be high earning. The trust of the patient towards the doctors is decreasing day by day. It should not be continued.
