प्रश्न

Sketch proper figure and write the answer of the following question.

If X-Y-Z and l(XZ) = `3sqrt7`, l(XY) = `sqrt7`, then l(YZ) = ?

उत्तर

We have,

l(XZ) = 3`sqrt7`;  l(XY) = `sqrt7`

Now,

l(XZ) = l(XY) + l(YZ)   ...(X-Y-Z)

So, l(YZ) = l(XZ) − l(XY)

∴ l(YZ) = `3sqrt7 − sqrt7`

∴ l(YZ) = `2sqrt7`
