उत्तर
Sant Kabir
I have chosen Sant Kabir, a famous Bhakti saint of North India. Kabir used simple language to spread the message of devotion, equality, love, and religious harmony. He opposed caste discrimination and unnecessary religious rituals.
Poem/Doha:
One of Kabir’s famous dohas is:
“Dukh mein sumiran sab kare, sukh mein kare na koye;
Jo sukh mein sumiran kare, to dukh kaahe ko hoye.”
Translation: “Everyone remembers God in times of sorrow, but no one remembers Him in times of happiness. If we remember God even in good times, why would sorrow overcome us?”
Main Message: The main message of this doha is that we should remember and remain devoted to God at all times, not only when we are facing difficulties. Kabir teaches us to be grateful, humble, and spiritually aware in both good and bad times.
Appeal to Common People: Kabir’s teachings appealed to common people because he used simple, everyday language and examples that everyone could understand. His verses were easy to remember and were passed on through singing and oral traditions. He spoke about the everyday problems and experiences of ordinary people rather than using complicated religious language.
Relevance Today: Yes, Kabir’s message is still relevant today. People often remember God or seek help only when they face problems. His teaching reminds us to remain grateful in good times, stay strong during difficulties, and treat others with love and compassion.
