उत्तर

Different cell junctions that are found in tissues are:-

  1. Tight junctions: Here the plasma membrane of adjacent epithelial cells are held close together.
  2. Gap junctions: They are formed for the exchange of chemicals between adjacent cells.
  3. Adhering junctions: As the name suggests they stick together the neighbouring cells.

(1) Cuboidal epithelium: It consists of a single layer of cuboidal cells.

(2) Columnar epithelium: It is composed of tall, cylindrical cells with oval nuclei usually placed at the base of the cells.

(3) Ciliated epithelium: It consists of cells being hair-like cilia on their free surface.
