उत्तर

Some of the most significant issues and challenges facing the nation’s industrial development are listed below.

  1. Lack of Infrastructural Facilities: When it comes to infrastructure, India is still lagging behind. Despite having enormous development potential, industrial development could not be achieved in many sections of the country due to a lack of adequate rail and road transportation as well as communication infrastructure.
  2. Poor performance of the Agricultural Sector: The agricultural sector’s performance significantly impacts India’s industrial development. In addition to providing food, shelter, and raw materials, agriculture also creates demand for products made in the industrial sector. However, industrial development has been adversely affected by the extremely low performance of our agricultural sector.
  3. Gaps between Targets and Achievements: In the entire period of planning except 1980s, industrial sector could not achieve its overall targets.
  4. Dearth of Skilled and Efficient Personnel: The shortage of skilled workers and technicians needed for the nation’s industrial development has been an issue. It has become extremely difficult to operate such highly advanced computerized machinery required for the nation’s industrial development in the absence of appropriately qualified and skilled staff.
