How would you justify the statement that transpiration contributes in bringing rain?

Plants release a large amount of water vapour into the atmosphere through transpiration. For example, an apple tree may lose about 30 litres of water per day, while a maize plant may lose about 2 litres of water per day. Therefore, large fields and dense forests add a huge amount of moisture to the atmosphere. This moisture helps in the formation of clouds and brings rainfall.
